The Players

The people participating in this campaign, their characters, and anything else they allow me to post about themselves, however embarrassing it may be:

In Alphabetical order:

Jordan B:*
Corvus, Half-Elven Cleric
History: Raised among the elves by her Elven father, at age 11 Corvus met Talic on a camping trip, during which her father was brutally slaughtered by a Displacer Beast along with the rest of the camping party. Corvus and Talic were saved by a raven with black and red feathers , and a group of local adventurers slew the beast. Adopted by Talic's family, she joined the priestesshood, and has studied in Kaldiir for many years. She and Talic joined the Raven Queen's Talon simultaneously. Most people mistake them for twins due to their similarity in looks and close proximity to each other at all times. When in conversation with each other, rather than referring to each other as 'brother' and 'sister' in standard Talon tradition, they refer to each other as 'my twin'. Within the Talon, Corvus acts as the Voice of the Talon, enacting legal matters and ensuring a calm and agreeable dynamic within the group.
Appearance: Looks very similar to Talic. Dark hair, tall, very pale, wears black robes

Corey D:*
Xelgin Melbent, Elven Ranger
History: Born on the distant continent of Altos, Xelgin was raised in the dense forest of Amaria. At a very young age, his parents were slaughtered by Dragonborn mercenaries, giving Xelgin an eternal hatred of Dragonborn and an even deeper desire for vengeance. Perfecting his skill with the bow, he and his brother traveled many years until his brother was killed in defense of Urnithic at an underground bridge in the Margrave Mountains. There Xelgin joined the Raven Queen's Talon shortly after it's inception, and ever since he has worked exclusively for the causes of the Talon. He tolerates Beryl out of necessity, as they are brothers in their order, but holds no mercy for others of Dragonborn blood.
Appearance: Medium height, darker hair, glittering green eyes

John F:*
Talic, Human Wizard
History: Born and raised in the metropolis of Kaldiir, Talic met Corvus on a camping trip, during which the entire camping party save the two of them were brutally slaughtered by a Displacer Beast.Talic and Corvus were saved by a raven with black and red feathers, and a group of local adventurers slew the beast. Talic's family adopted Corvus, and Talic entered one of the top schools of arcane study in Kaldiir at the same time she joined the Priestesshood. Talic had some desire to enter into the priesthood himself, but instead took an arcane route of service, allowing him to be a devoted follower of the Raven Queen while still studying his primary field of interest. Talic and Corvus joined the Raven Queen's Talon simultaneously. Most people mistake them for twins due to their similarity in looks and close proximity to each other at all times. When in conversation with each other, rather than referring to each other as 'brother' and 'sister' in standard Talon tradition, they refer to each other as 'my twin'.
Appearance: Looks very similar to Corvus. Dark hair, tall, very pale, wears black robes

Thomas 'Alpha' J:*
Urnithic Ironvault, Dwarven Fighter
History: Born in Ensmith, capital of the Margrave Mountains, Urnithic became an accomplished Fighter in true family tradition. Adventuring closely with Erthur, his kinsman, the two engaged in numerous  exploits while also exploring the idea of forming an orginization of service to the Raven Queen, whom they both respected highly due to Erthur's birth-pact (see below). During a treacherous battle with a horde of goblins, Urnithic died defending a bridge from the onslaught. While on the other side, Urnithic was approached in the shadowlands by The Raven Queen herself and presented with an official scroll detailing the tenets and rules of the organization the two Dwarves had spoken of creating.  Urnithic returned from the land of the dead after being given this scroll, without the aid of any raise dead spell, to the shock and awe of his companions, and ever since he and Erthur have been actively serving the Raven Queen as The Raven Queen's Talon and have been recruiting new members for many decades. As the only member of the Talon to have ever faced death, Urnithic is one of the more devout followers of the Raven Queen for the gift of a second life that she bequeathed to him.
Appearance: Darker hair and beard, short and stout, wears a clock over his armor pinned by a silver raven pendant.

Diana N:
Sariel, Eladrin Rogue
History: Sariel was born during a raid on the Eladrin city of Eldasar. Her parents were killed in the bloody battle and Sariel was left in the Eldasarian forest. She was adopted by a family of elves from the capital city of Alanthis, but felt she did not belong in their culture despite everyone's assumptions that she too was an elf. At around age twelve, Sariel grew restless in the treetop city and ventured south to Eldasar. There she learned of her true heritage and a number of the powers that her race had, including the ability to vanish an reappear a close distance away. Though she learned much from her Eladrin kinsmen, Sariel once more grew restless and found she had an intense distaste for the closed-off attitude expressed by a number of the Eladrin she conversed with. Choosing to discover the rest of the world rather than hide herself from it in dusty tomes of magic, Sariel spent many decades wandering the southern lands of Dasaria. Over time, she found herself in Kaldiir and made some connections at the guild of Merchants. She became an accomplished member of the guild of Merchants and Traders, and became personally trained by Briseis Dalamond, a Tiefling and head of the guild and master infiltrator. Due to her appearance being more elven than that of her Eladrin kin, Sariel mostly is able to pass for an elf. However, her ethereal presence and iridescent turquoise eyes often cause unwanted notice from townsfolk, particularly in small villages, so Sariel wears a pair of specially-made goggles that cover her odd eyes, for while Eladrin are not-unheard of in Kaldiir, they are quite rare and cause quite a stir when they are sighted, as they have a tendency to make their presence known. Sariel instead prefers to lurk in the shadows as she learns more about her surroundings and the world. She was summoned to the Council Meeting at the beginning of the story by Briseis Dalamond, who also holds a council seat, as the councilwoman felt her skill and knowledge would be invaluable to the mission.
Appearance: Tall, light brown hair, iridescent turquoise eyes covered by green-lensed goggles.

Chris N:*
Beryl, Dragonborn Warlord
History: Beryl grew up among the Dragonborn nomads of the Kasilian desert, traveling the vast wasteland as well as temporarily residing in the capital city. As with most Dragonborn of the time, Beryl joined a mercenary group and headed West, where in time he met the other members of the Raven Queen's Talon. Having been raised in a tolerant family who had respected the Raven Queen, Beryl was enthusiastic about their cause and brought his skill in battle and commanding presence to the group, something they considered extremely useful. Beryl is known as the face of the Talon, for he represents the six of them in significant matters, such as speaking to town officials. While he and Xelgin don't always get along due to Xelgin's hatred of Dragonborn, the two have grown used to each other over the last few years, the hatred having been watered down to little more than the trading of insults.
Appearance: Yellow-golden scales, very tall

Evan P:*
Erthur Ironvault, Dwarven Paladin
History: Like his kinsman, Erthur was born in the capital city of Ensmith. Before he was born, his father, dying in battle, made a plea to the Raven Queen to spare his life in exchange for the service of his firstborn son. The goddess accepted the deal, and thus Erthur has been marked from birth with a raven tattoo on the side of his forehead. Devoting his life to service of his goddess, Erthur and Urnithic conceived the idea of the Raven Queen's talon, and after Urnithic's untimely death and resurrection, the two were eager to devote their lives to the cause. Erthur serves as the Bearer of the Scroll within the Talon. He is entrusted with protecting the document given to Urnithic by the Raven Queen herself when he died, and he is the one who reads from it in any situation.
Appearance: Short, Dark hair, blackened plate armor, carries a large hammer, raven tattoo.

Jake W:
Rasa Noir, Human Warlock
History: Born in Garaska, military stronghold of the Dasarian plains, Rasa learned of his prowess with magic at a young age when he accidentally burned his parents alive and destroyed their house. Wracked with guilt for his misdeed, Rasa left Garaska and traveled the plains on trade routes with merchant caravans, gradually developing and learning to control his powers, particularly through studying the dark teachings of Asmodeus and entering into the Infernal Pact, giving him a vast foray of knowledge to explore. As he learned of darker things, Rasa spent a great deal of time traveling, and in time he found himself in the human metropolis of Kaldiir. With little care for anything, Rasa entered into a merchant agreement with the local guild, and continued to travel the local countryside's trade routes as a freelance mercenary for merchant caravans. He drew the attention of the People's representative on the Kaldiir city council when he was an escort on her traveling caravan, and she recommended him for the task he is summoned for at the beginning of the story.
Appearance: Medium height, dark hair
NOTE: Jake was only present for one session, and therefore only will appear in the first half-dozen or so chapters. More on this to come in the story.
