About the DM
A few simple questions about me, the person in charge of this crazy campaign:
Name: Lora
Basic Info:
I'm 20 years old, currently residing in Nebraska. At the time of writing (Summer of 2008) I'm between my Sophomore and Junior Years of college. I'm an English major minoring in History and Political Science. My birthday is Halloween, I'm a vegetarian, and I love hot fudge sundaes, walking around in the rain and going to movies with friends. I'm also an artist, graphic novelist, writer and grade-A geek to the highest degree.
D&D stuff:
I started playing D&D spring of Freshman year. The first campaign I participated in had 8 players including myself and was full of mayhem. Evan was the DM, and he handled it well - because of that and a campaign he ran last summer, Evan is and most likely always will be my favorite DM. I played all through Sophomore year and currently spend all my time hanging out in a house full of D&D players. D&D has become my primary form of social interaction, and that's either really good or really kinda sad... I can't decide which.
Favorite Class, Race etc:
I've always been a big fan of Rogues if we're talking straight-core-3.5. My first character, Rowan, was a Rogue and she was awesome, especially when she killed a succubus by hitting it square between it's eyes. Best moment ever. When it comes to non-core, I love playing Dread Necromancers and other odd caster-types like that. That said, in the year and a half that I've played D&D I've played almost everything in some way or another; Rogue, Wizard, Spellthief, Bard, Necromancer... the list goes on.
As for races, due to the events of Evan's campaign last summer I now had a tendency to despise Elves (more on that later). Other than that, I have to say I loved playing humans in 3.5 for that extra feat and skill point (especially when playing a rogue type). I also loved using Unearthed Arcana variants and bloodlines, as well as digging through obscure sourcebooks for weird ideas, like playing an Air Mephling with perfect flight maneuverability. Seriously, best idea ever!

Other random facts about me:
-I met my current boyfriend, John, when I joined his D&D campaign last September.
-I've organized two D&D cons among my group of friends, where we all gathered at my parents house, eat lots of food and play D&D until the wee hours of the night. I'm also planning to have a D&D game on my birthday this fall -- John promised to run it for me.
-I've been a fantasy nerd ever since my mom read me The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when I was seven.
-I have a tendency to go into obsessive detail about my campaign worlds. Information for a campaign I want to run next fall has enough information to fill a three-ring binder. I also adore drawing maps.
-I own four complete sets of dice, as well as a set of 36d6, 7 extra d20's, two extra sets of percentile dice, and two extra d6's.
That's about all the interesting information I can dredge up about myself. If I get bored again later, I may add more random information. Because I can.
